I have a 94 Silverado with a 5.7L 350 V8 in it. I am trying to isolate the problem with my air conditioner to see if I have a bad clutch or if I need the whole compressor. When I turn the A/C on I hear a click which I presume is the relay turning on from the low pressure switch but the clutch on the compressor does not spin. I think it is supposed to turn which is what makes the compressor work right? Any help I can get on this would be greatly appreciated.

Check your fuses. And check the A/C refrigerant pressure.

Definantly check the pressure, if there isn't enough it won't do anything except click.

Well I jumpered the connector going to the pressure switch to eliminate the freon from being my problem and still no go. I will check all the fuses again hopefully it's something that easy but I doubt it. I just need to know if that clutch is supposed to turn or not so I can eliminate that as well.

The clutch has 2 wires power and ground. If it has battery voltage and you supply the ground it should engage. If it doesn't then the air gap is too big or the clutch is bad.
