Extended Cab Water Noise When Raining?

I hear what appears to be water running down the channel between the two doors on both sides of the truck when it rains.

I've had other extended cab trucks and this seems extreme. All the seals are in-place and in excellent condition.

Is it me or is the water noise just loud?

I just picked up my 09 Silverado last week and thought it sounded pretty loud in the rain. We checked all around for leaks and could find none?
