    Default Oil

    Is the recomended viscosity for silverados 5w-30?
    I usually use 10w-30 but andvanced auto didn't have anymore cases of it so i picked up 5w-30. i'm about to change the oil and i was just curious.

    Almost all Gm's are 5W-30. You will get better MPG with the 5W-30.

    Check your oil filler cap mine and my ol' ladys vehicles say what is recomended right on them.
