    Search these forums for : magnusson moss warranty act. It is a federal law that prohibits mfg from voiding warranty with respect to non-factory parts or accessories. It permits you to use parts of your choice and while it does have limitations, as jimmiee mentioned you don't have to worry about your warranty.
