Guys I would like to know if there is any special way to pull out a compressed shock so it is long enough to put on the truck. THIS THING IS STUCK.
Schrub!
what do you mean by stuck? I have never had to do anything more than grab hold and start pulling. if thats not getting it it may be dent or defective. is it a new shock or the existing one on your truck and if its the existing one did you hit a pot hole that resembled the grand canyon? a few more details and i'll try to help you out.

Thanks man, but i went back to the shop and got it out. It is a new shock and I finally hung it in the rafters of my shop amd hung on it myself by a bolt(I weigh about 200) then took it down and pryed on the washer under the mounting braket and it came free. Never had one stuck like that before.
Ohh yeah!! Do you know any easy ways to get the upper bushings and mounting brakets into the shock easily, (it is the rear shock where the mounting braket is wider than the bushing on each side)
Schrub!

We used a urethane grease and a vice and they go right in.
Vise works great! You had to hang on shock to extend it?

Yeah I got all the parts togehter but, that was the only way I knew how to get the shock extended.
Schrub!
wow usually you just cut the band off and they extend on their own, never had to pull one apart
