Smoked tail lights

so i bought this VHT Night Shades paint thats for smoking tail lights. So i sprayed it and its all good, but its flat black, i see a lot of people with smoked lights that are gloss, if i spray like a clear coat on it will it make it more glossy, and what paint do ya"ll recommend?

clear coat may help ...but it also has to do with way you sprayed and preped it
