Was wondering if i do a lift on my truck would i have to mod the trasmission or even possibly the drive shift? and doing the lift do i run the possibility of killing my trasmission?
Thanks for the help
shouldnt be any mods needed that i know of unless you go higher than 6in, as for killing the tranny may have a little more strain on it from larger tires but nothing to worry about

The only thing to watch is the drive line angle. Most lift kits adjust for this. Too steep of an angle and you start breaking extension housings and transfer cases. Even if the angle is within limits you will wear out u joints faster as the angle increases. If I were going to do a 6" lift and use the truck off road I would have a custom shaft made that uses a double cardan joint. This setup gives you a lot more angle and cuts u joint wear in half.
