    Default Power window problem

I have an '88 silverado that the pass window will not go down with either button pushed. I have put on a new motor and tried a new switch on both sides. When i pull the regulator and re-install with the window down a little the pass button will raise the window but not the driver side. I'm stumped. Could it be the regulator itself, I only changed the motor. It did work a couple of times after the motor change and then nothing.

Thanks for any info you guys can give.

Here's a wiring diagram. The passenger motor gets it's power from the drivers switch. You probably have an open wire in the harness . Check it with a DVOM or a test light.

Do voltage drop testing of the wiring with a multimeter...

    How to use a multimeter...

Then take a coat hanger and bend it back and forth in the same place. Notice how it eventually breaks in that spot.

Then imagine the wires going from your doors to the vehicle at the hinge. Imagine opening and closing your car doors 1000 times and what could happen to those wires!
