Thread: Hypertech programmer?
08-04-2009, 11:42 PM #1
Ok, I bought a Hypertech programmer from a buddy of mine who programmed his truck with it. Since then, he ended up trading his truck in for a Tundra. I went to plug in the programmer to my truck and it read, I need to restore back to stock settings (I'm assuming my buddy's truck). So do I need to track down the truck he traded and restore it back to factory settings prior to programming my truck? Or is there a way to bypass this and program my truck? PLEASE HELP!!!! Hopefully I didn't get taken...2001 ECSB Silverado 1500 Z71 LT

Sorry to say but your EFFED. You need to have the original truck, it locks the VIN into the programmer. So get your money back or try and track it down99 K1500 Suburban LT "THE BEAST"
