HI TORQUE Starter Motor
Just ordered a Hi Torque Proform starter motor for my 88 Silverado. I installed a 350HO Crate Engine in it a few weeks back and it has 9.1 to 1 compression ratio that kinda overwhelms the ancient stock starter motor. Has anyone had experience installing and using these? I hope it resolves the initial struggle to turn the engine over! It really doesn't take much more than a single turn and the engine is running! Beautiful engine with loads of torque!!!

I've used Mean Green starters a few times, no different bolt up or wiring than factory starters.
Pay attention to the existing wire harness if it looks weathered or has cracking coating you might want to replace it with a new slightly heavier gauge harness.
