Ok, gotta question for you gurus out there. I have an 04 3500 w/Durmax diesel, has been running good - no drop in milage, but smokes a little bit at idol (white smoke), and there seems to be a lack of pwoer. Took it to a family friend and he informed me that I have two injectors bad. Dropped it off at the dealership this morning (to capitalize on the warranty), and they told me that after running the battery of diagnostics, there is nothing indicating a bad injector (everything is producing good pressure, no oil in the fuel and vice versa). The dealer asked if I had the particulate filter on the exhaust changed - it has not. Does anyone know if a bad particulate filter will give the same "symptoms" as a bad injector? I have not had any codes come up either. Any ideas/thoughts will be welcomed.
Thanks!

You need to find a new dealer, they obviously don't know anything... An '04 does NOT have a particulate filter. Your problem is most likely a bad injector HARNESS instead of the injector. These are known to have a problem with (I think) 2 injector harness. There just too short and rub through causing the problem you described. If you go to dieselplace.com and do a search I bet you'll find what ya need to do. (It's a Duramax diesel specific forum that I'm also a member of)

X2 what JoeAirForce said. Find a NEW dealer. P/filters started on 07 NBS trucks.

X3 only 07.5 and up have the particulate filter.
