My 98 tahoe has rear windows that only roll down about 2" , are the 'burbs windows like that too? I would really like to get them to roll down. Any suggestions?

The only way to be sure is to take the door pad off.
If the tracks go all the way down then the windows should.
Take one of the door pads off and look, plug the switch back in and try the windows.
It could also be a child safety thing, like the rear doors can only be opened from the outside when a switch is engaged. I know some have that. The switch for that can be on the outboard side of the door when open. I think.
Maybe someone else is more familiar with this than I.

It has been like this since new. The child safety door switches are outboard, but they do not affect the window. I will be taking off the panel pretty soon, and Ill keep you posted.

If you need help just ask, doorpads are funny if you have never taken one off before.

never mind... it is actually like 4.5 inches, but the way the wheel well is cuts the doors, it can't go any further

Aha, thats why some car windows only go down so far.
