Thumbs down E3 spark plugs good or junk

I went to the parts store to get some of the new E3 spark plugs. Upon buying the plugs the salesman and I were talking about the plugs and he was saying that the E3 plugs are not as good as I thought they were. In hearing this I didn't want to take a chance in a set of plugs I wasn't going to like. I bought the ACDELCO IRIDIUM plugs instead. To get to the point of my question has anyone used the E3 spark plugs and if so how do they compare to other plugs you have used? Can you feel any difference good or bad?

I used them on my Tacoma a few years ago and didnt really notice any difference, except they were higher priced than other plugs.

    Default E3 Plugs

I've been running them in my 07 Sierra, 4.3L w/5 spd manual for approximately 14,000 miles without any problem. Aftr intall the first thing I noticed was an increase in power and I was able to shave about 2-300 rpm's off my shift points. My mpg increased about .5-.75 mpg. I'm a very conservative driver and made a point to drive normally to avoid the "placebo effect". Just my 2 cents worth.

One of the TV shows, of which E3 is a sponsor, tested them on a dyno vs stock steel plugs and found they gave better power and cleaner emissions. IMHO it would have been a more impressive test were it conducted by an impartial thrid party. I think the design would be fine for new engines but would be more prone to oil fouling than other designs. FWIW I use NGK iridiums in everything except my lawn mowers and am happy with them.

GMs like Delco plugs. Plain and simple. Keep your gap down to .040 also. I think I have read that you shouldn't adjust the gaps on Iridium. Just go with Platinum.
