My wife's boss "acquired" some 22" rims and tires from his step son after he wrecked his Tahoe. He's been trying to sell them to us, but says that he thinks that my 02 Tahoe would have to be raised in order for them to fit. The step son is not around anymore for me to ask if his was raised or not, so I'm turning to you guys asking if my truck would have to be lifted in order to get 22" tires and rims on it? I'm not interested at all in doing any of that, but could be interested in the rims. Can anyone here help me? Thanks!
Thy will fit just fine. I have 22" rims and tires on my 01 and it will rub slightly over a big bump. Other wise you really cant tell a difference.

My wifes 03 escalade has 22" rims and rides fine there is a little bit of rubbing on hard bumps. and once in awhile when she turns really hard left, they look really good though, theres a pic of it in my album if youd like to look at it.

Thanks for the replies guys. RedHoe01, do you have any bigger pics of your Tahoe? I'd like to get a better look at how the 22's might look on mine.
Zubbiez, that's a nice Escalade!

for some reason it looks like the rims stick out past the wheel well but they dont. They sit just inside of them.

I am a newbie here, I have 22's on my 04 2wd Burb, fit fine, only rub a tiny bit when turning hard right.
I am going to lower mine a few inches in the near future.
Alot of the rubbing issue would have to do with what size tire is mounted on them I've seen a 05 Tahoe with 24's and the tires were no more than 2 inch tall and there was no rubbing when he turnned

RedHoe01, thanks for the larger pic! The rims look great. Also, thanks to everyone else for their replies.
I've got a 2001 Tahoe LT with 23s on it. I put the 23s on a few months after I got the truck new in '01. I have 305/40-23 rubber on it and have never had any rubbing issues. I'll have to take some pics. 22s should fit with no problem, and you'd probably be able to turn lock to lock without rubbing depending on what size rubber you run on them.
EDIT: I realize I'm late to the party on commenting in this thread, as many have already given great answers, but I just joined, so I figured....what the heck![]()
