Default Tach sticking after long drive with Cruise Control on

Again, my 1997 Tahoe has an "issue". After a long drive at a steady speed with cruize on, the tach will stick for a few hours, sometimes overnight. Anyone else have this problem??

Hmm, maybe a job for some WD-40?

It can happen once in a while, but not a common problem. Probably will end up having to buy a new one, but first, if you have a good speedometer shop nearby ask if they can repair it.

Sounds like a pretty rare problem. I've never experienced anything like that.
