Just curious if anyone has times and MPH results for dragstrip runs in a Duramax. I know they're not built for performance, but dragstrip times are a generally acceptable method to determine performance results.
Well, only have 1000 miles on mine, so I haven't really stepped on it's tail yet..... But from what I can tell so far it's pretty good. Torque, lots of torque. It all happens around 2000 rpm and the Allison keeps it going to the wheels at the right ratio. Especially at 50-70 accelerating you can fee it. No screaming, no revving, just pure torque.

I have friends that run in the 12's (twin turbos) and the high 9's (very built motor) but it's very cool to look up videos of Duramax powered trucks on Youtube beating Corvettes and Mustangs at the strip.
