    Default paint suggestions please

well...I'm planning on painting my 90' Silverado, she needs the paint pretty desperately, but I'm just not sure what color(s) to paint first i was thinking burnt orange on top of black but i haven't quite made up my mind, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ignore the picture, shes filthy and I'm ashamed that I haven't had much time to give her a bath.
    Thanks, Justin

Hi, and welcome to the site! I think you have some choices! I think you could go with black. I just seen a thread where all of the trucks were black, man were they nice, but that is what I would do. Good Luck on the color you do choose. Keep us posted on how things are going!

I kinda have the same problem, There are so many choices when it comes to paint, I am thinking of a charcoal color or dark grey, either flat or matte, but thats my opinion, hope to see what you come up with, cause I need ideas also!

I like the orange and black idea, but have you seen the Atomic orange which is the oem color on the new Corvette. That will burn your eyes if you look directly at it, beautiful color and as a matter of fact there is a GMC about your year truck over on FSC that has that exact color combo. My last truck was also black on the bottom and silver on top, very classy and nice combo with a charcoal stripe breaking it.

I think a two tone is definately th way to go with a matching toneou cover. I would stay with your base color so you dont have to paint under the hood to match and then a good contrasting color with some mid pinstriping. Lotsa of combos though. I like Sonic Blue, it is a pearlescent type color from Ford for the 05 and older models.Nice look and goes great with silver.
