    Default Tire hum 03 silverado

hey guys/gals, I just bought an 03 Silverado ext. cab 5.3L. Love the truck but I get this humming noise that sounds like it's coming from the tires, almost like they are rubbing up against the wheel well when the shocks compress. The tires are Michelin LTX m/s and are not over sized for the truck and as far as I can tell do not rub at all.

It only makes this noise when the shocks compress. When I go over a swell in the road while the truck rises up no hum but when the truck pushes down on the dip I hear the hum?

I'm sure it could be a lot of things but I am checking to see if anyone has had this issue.

take your hand and run it along the treat of the tire and feel for uneven tire wear if there is that may be your problem

    2003 Z71 Silverado LS
    Access roll up cover
    Bed Rails
    Billet Grill insert
    Bed Rug
    CB with PA system
    Waiting to be installed
Two 8in RF HX2 punch( would have 12s but they got stolen)

also check your hub bearings lift up the front end and put hand on the tie rod bar and spin the tire if you feel a vibration then its going out
