    Default Bed Liner

I just bought a new Silverado and I'm getting the bedliner sprayed in this week. Any thoughts on over the rail vs under the rail?

I'm planning on going over the rail to protect the side rails. Can't think of any reason not to.

Never used a spray in bedliner i like bed rugs instead. Bu tI would think that one over the rails would protect the tops of the fenders from scratches while loading and unloading your truck

I recently had mine sprayed over the rails. I think it is definitely a good idea because stuff is always getting dragged over them and I had a ton of small scratches before I got them lined. The place i went did a good job of keeping clean straight lines too so make sure you use a quality dealer/ installer.

If it's not a work truck it looks better under the rails. If you actually use your bed and slide wood and ladders over the rails then get them done.

Are you getting a LineX or something else. LineX is the best IMO.

I agree with over the rail, When I first bought my truck I had the line-x done on my truck under the rail. I wish I would of done over the rail now since I now have scratches on the rails from loading stuff in it and a rock flying over the cab and hitting the rail. I contacted linex a couple months ago to see if they would do my rails and was told yes at the price of 180 for both rails.

Yeah, the guy told me they could but it'd be a little expensive so I was getting myself ready for it. Still haven't gotten it done yet but I think I willbreak down and get it done. The white scatches in the paint is really bugging me plus I plan on keep my truck for a while. Might as well take the best care of it I can do.

I had already installed a set of DeeZee bed rail caps on my 2008 Silverado before deciding to have the bed sprayed with Line-X so mine is under the rail. After less than 2 years with the amount the Line-X has faded, glad it isn't over the rail. Also have a rubber bed mat (liner is too slippery for a cooler to sit still), lift it up and the bottom of the bed looks just as black and glossy as when originally sprayed. A little disappointed with the fading, maybe the extra to have it color matched to Blue Granite Metallic would have been worth it, then again maybe it would have faded also.
