Hi All ,
I apologize in advance for my verbosity
What I am most interested in is finding any pictures of modded NBS Silverado WT's in which they kept the black grille (sorry I know that is ultra specific). However I would gladly welcome any suggestion, opinions, thoughts, etc.
Now before you go and get all excited let me be frank (I always wanted to be a frank) ... I didn't buy a White 2WD V6 WT because I am exactly overflowing cash (though at $15200 after all the rebates I ain't exactly complaining). So this will be modding on the cheap.
Initially I thought about swapping out the grille for a chrome one, but then that led to wanting to change the bumper, and then mirrors, door handles, ... In the end it seems way cheaper to keep the black front and work the best I can with that.
It is worth noting that I will have my business name/logo on it which is red & black. Which initially I plan on putting on the tailgate after I debadge it. I haven't decided if I am going to put it on the sides.
At the very least I am planning on putting snows on the stocks rims, and buying nicer warm weather rims since I need the snow tires anyways. I would like to go 18 or 20 if I can afford it. I have been eyeballing these Nascar Daytona rims because they look matte black which I figure will match the bumper and grill and they have a red trim ring. Also maybe black out the bowtie, with red trim. 2" leveling kit? Remove lower, lower, valence? I have already ordered a the grey bedrug.
Again I welcome any and all ideas/suggestions even if they are wildly different from mine as long as they are fairly practical (i.e. cheap).
Thanks!

Here's the rim I was talking about:
Well this won't be of much help to you, but I have a 2008 WT I plan on modding in a similar fashion.. well, leveling kit, tint, bed liner, step bar, bug deflector, and not gonna worry about new rims/tires until the ones that came with it get a little older.
What do you mean by "NBS" Silverado?
This what your talking about? With the black grill?

Innovate LC-1 Wideband o2 Sensor x2

I believe NBS means "New Body Style" around here, but I am a newb so hopefully I got it right ... and hey anything helps 'cuz its nice to hear what other people are doing. If it weren't for needing snow tires I would hold out longer, but since I am going to buy them anyways figured it makes more sense $ in the long run to put the snows on the stock rims. What do you mean by "NBS" Silverado?
Yes, that is exactly what I am talking about. Black, black everywhere ... like the emptiness in my walletThis what your talking about? With the black grill?![]()

Personally, I would start with tint. To me, cars look so much better with window tint.![]()

I agree, tint is a must. Thats the first thing i did to my truck about a week after i bought it was tint the windows. I'd also say a leveling kit would be nice(and its easy to do yourself). If your getting a bedrug then will you be getting a tonneau cover? I just bought an Access tonneau and i love it.

Thanks for all the responses so far!
Thanks for setting me straight on the acronyms 2008blackWT.
Sorry but I am a total newb. I am very handy but this is the first vehicle I've owned that I want to make some modifications to. One b/c I have owned total beaters my whole life. Two, because I will be using the truck to advertise my business so I want it to look sharp. Either way I officially have the fever.
TINTING - Probably another threat, but is tinting a DYI project if you are a rookie. As I said I am typically very handy, but I have never done it before. If I had it done professionally how much would it run?
LEVELING - I think thats goin on the list. Price is right and it looks very doable. Though I am little worried about voiding the warranty I have read some mixed things on that.
TONNEAU COVER - I am throwing things in and out of the bed constanty and they get on my nerves eventually though I like how they look. Hopefully the bedrug will hold up to the elements, a couple of my friends have had great experiences with them. I love the way it looks and it is the perfect amount of grip for me. Spray liners are too grippy for my tastes and bedliners too slipper. Its clutch for tailgating and camping too.
REMOVE SMALL LOWER PLASTIC VALANCE - I also considering this ... I especially like b/c its FREE
DEBADGE THE BACK - To make room for the business logo. Yeah again ... FREE.
BLACK OUT BOWTIE - W/ red trim on it to match the black & red lettering on the truck. CHEAP!
RIMS - Hopefully I can afford them next spring cuz I plan on putting snows on the stocks over the winter. Anywho I am considering the rims above cuz they are matte black with red trim which I think will match up with the front end nicely. I also like the rims that have black with a polished ring trim. This one hurst the wallet for sure, but since I do legitimately need a set of snows might as well get nice summer ones right.
Whattya guys think??
Thanks again!
I had the tint done on my truck. Idk if its hard to install but that would suck if you did it and it starts to bubble.
If your throwing stuff in and out of the bed all day then maybe hold off on the tonneau. Bedrugs are awesome i think, my dads had them in his current and last truck, but he had a canopy on his last, and a fiberglass tonneau on his current so they never really see the elements, so im not really sure how it will hold up. But i think of the tonneau as a small mileage increase too(its not a ton, but it does help)
