1984 1500 4.1L automatic

Hi,
I have a 84 2wd s/b with a bad 4.1L in it. I picked up a 305 from the same year truck. Is there a sticky on doing the engine swap? I have owned this truck for 15 yrs. and I really love it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I would say a 350 since your gonna swap anyway, not gonna cost you much more for the engine

I have the engine I just need a little advice on doing the swap. Except for the motor mounts I think everything else is a bolt up. The wiring block on the firewall looks to be the same? I plan on freshing up the engine with a gasket kit,water pump,hoses and wires. I'm not sure about all the vac. lines(what it needs to run right?) We don't need to pass emmisions in NH for anything older than 1996.
