    Default California members... Smog?

I was wondering If my 81 will ever be smog free, just reaching out because I can't find the information on the DMV site or any other.

I believe 1975 and earlier is the Cutoff Point.

So i can't count on politicians to stick to the rolling 30 year plan? shoot, at this point I'd pay them to leave me alone, looks like a spiders web of tubes underneath the air cleaner.

If I'm not playin' ball I'm workin on my truck.... On a college budget... Yeah... Zip ties and duct tape FTW!

You can do what I did when I lived in California. Get a PO Box in a smog free county.

Yeah, my uncle flies and does that with his suburban, maybe I'll try that, probably well worth the hassle. I'd just like to get my engine running clean without all the equipment to make it pass. Such as I have a new carb and headers but I can't use them without having to swap every 2 years.

I don't think this works anymore.I tried to register a car to a P.O. Box and was refused.I was told I had to have a regular street address. Now if you can find one of those places that's a street address but rents the P.O. Boxes as if its the address. That might work.I just didn't find the hassle worth the effort.Just my .02.

Unfortunately the wonderful CA lawmakers (who don't know beans sometimes...) decided to stop the rolling 30 year law and leave it at 1975 and older only. However they will buy your polluting vehicle from you, usually at a pittance of what it is actually worth.
