same issue kinda
My 1991 suburban r2500 7.4L is running rich failed smog I have replaced the o2 due to a 44 code running lean. My smog guy said I'm running to rich and the old sensor was covered in blacl crud (another sign of running rich) I fixed 2 vac leaks, replaced pressure reg, injector o rings. Also I have no codes other then 12 after replacing o2. Any thoughts all pressure and fuel lines good new filter. Oh yeah it also chokes when I lightly press the gas pedal idle great high rpm great a little above idol runs cruddy.

I actually had a few things wrong, not just the o2 sensor. Test the coolant temperature sensor, MAP sensor, and the wires connecting each back to the computer. I had a bad wire going to my MAP sensor, it must be pinched somewhere.
