4wd and 2wd wheels

will factory 2wd wheels fit on my 4x4 ?
1990 sileverado 4x4 k-1500.
wanting to hopefully get a set form a 2wd 2002 silverado.

2wd wheels from any 99 on up Silverado will fit on 4WD anything 98 and older will not

im confused.

so the 2wd wheels from 2002 WILL NOT fit on my 1990 ?

are you saying only 2wd wheel from 99 and up will fit on 99 and up 4wd, and any 2wd wheels from 98 and older will not fit on 98 and older 4wd's ?

I think GM went to six lug wheels on 2wd in 99. So the 02 rims should fit. 98 and older 2wd used five lug rims.

Just count the lugs to be sure.

yep, the 2003 2wd rims i am looking at are 6 lug.
just checking because the rims are 75 miles from my home, and would hate to drive all the way there, pop a wheel off my 1990, and then find out they didnt fit.
