    Default Silverado Front Shock Adapter

Hello, I hope this is in the right section, this is my first post. I have 2000 silverado 1500 4x4. I installed some torsion keys because I added an aftermarket bumper that makes the front end sit too low. Since installing these keys I have had problems with blowing front shocks. I originally had rancho rs9000, then 9000x (because they replaced the first set with these for free), then rs9000xl most recently in june (they were all rancho because I had the remote shock system installed with the gauges and switch in custom locations that are going to require replace a few interior panels to remove) the shocks are slightly too short and when the suspension fully droops it seems to be pulling the rod too far, then the truck bounces like a horse. I finally broke down and bought the interior pieces and a set of bilstein 5100 shocks for the 2" lift as they are the only company I see who makes shocks for the leveling kit. Unfortunately the shocks are for a 1500HD and have an eyelet rather than the split mount like the stock shocks (i purchased these from ebay because I have had trouble ordering new ones from regular retailers (& it was only $260 for all 4), which is another reason I went with the ranchos in the first place). Are there any adapters out there to make these shocks fit? i don't think adding another inch or so for an adapter would hurt as far as the shock length is concerned. I thought about getting some square tubing and cutting it to fit over the eyelet as well as the factory mount but am unsure about it. Any suggestions?

First of all, welcome. Also if you could get some pics up I think you may receive some more help. The best thing I can think of is to talk to the manufacturer of the shocks. I honestly can't think of any marketed adapters off the top of my head. The only thing I can think of is getting someone to custom make some mounts for ya. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
