    Default Muffler size

    Hey!

I searched but with no results. I am changing just the muffler in my 09 silverado 5.3 and am looking for the correct size muffler needed with the stock piping. Is it 2.5" or 3".

    THanks in advance!!

take a tape measure and measure the diameter, it should be 2.5 or 3 inches. If for some reason you can't do that measure around the pipe, if it is about 9.5 inches around its 3 inches and if it is almost 8 inches around it is the 2.5 inch.
