Fairly simple to change and it is very easy to get to. One of the simpler things to change out.

you're up early !!!!'its acting up on me, since last tuesday, when i turn the key on, all the lights on the dash come on, but then nothing, and if i keep the key in the crank position for 2, 3 seconds it will (most of the time) turn in slow motion and the truck will start. the battery is brand new and while the truck is running shows 14v. (but when the ignition is on before starting the engine it shows only 10; 11 v....)

I get up at 5AM cause I'm an old fart. <G>

Before changing the starter verify the battery condition with a volt meter. Turn the headlights on for 20 seconds and then turn them off and read the voltage. Use a good volt meter not the one in the dash. A good battery should read 12.6 volts. A battery with 75% charge will read 12.4. If the voltage is less than 12.4 then don't change the starter just yet. Remember an engine can start with a battery that is almost dead. If the battery is new it may have bad cable connections. If the battery recovers to 12.4 after the headlamp test then the starter is probably bad. If the battery voltage of a good battery drops more than 3 volts while cranking <before it starts> then the starter is drawing too many amps and is probably bad.
