I took my 07 NBS Silverado in for service at the dealer. I was told one tire had a belt separation at 20K miles and the dealer tried to sell me a new set of 4 tires. I declined his offer and did some research. I found that some General Ameritrac tires are defective. The NHTSA # for this issue is 10021022. The tires begin with the DOT code A3 or P5. There is a Chevy memo #PIT4193A that I found on gminsidenews.com that I told the dealer about. He looked it up and compared the DOT code on my tires and guess what? I will have a brand new set of 5 tires on Tuesday at no charge. I went to lunch and saw a guy with the same truck as me and he had the same tires also. GM has made no attempt that I know of to notify its customers.

Sad to hear you had to do all that work to get GM to fix a known problem. There is a stark difference between mfgs. and how this sort of thing is handled.
Years ago a friend of mine bought a used Honda Civic and Honda tracked him down to offer him a new engine in a recall effort to replace defective units.
(I admire their ethic, but I still don't like the Ridgeline!)
There is no way to happiness....happiness is the way.
