    Default Viper 5901

Ok so my moms truck was stolen about a week ago by one of the import crews around here. And they came back the night after it was stolen but the neighbors chased them off. So I have a feeling that they will be back. When My brother had a truck he went around to all the shops and they all said directed was the way to go and the one he bought worked flawlessly. I ordered the Viper 5901 yesterday and I was looking at all the extra things to add to it. so far I have bought

    Viper 5901
    Glass/Audio sensor
    Proximity sensor
    Bypass Module
    Voice Module

Is there anything else I should be buying?

Sounds like it will be a good setup. I'm sorry about your moms truck. I hate thieves more than anything and the theft of a vehicle always makes the victim and the people around them become paranoid. I will never park my truck and not feel worried again.

Not a fan of viper, but just remember if they want it no alarm will stop them. Just try to minimize the appeal. If on the street park it under a light, always take your plate off the stereo and dont leave things in the cabin that they can see and may decide they want it. Dont put the brand stickers all over your vehicle that will display what kind of system you have in the vehicle JL, Alpine, etc. Also, make sure you understand your insurance policy for thefts, some are actually very limited as to what the will replace, also I know with Compustar they will pay your deductable for theft or break-in of a vehicle, will viper do that as well? My advice is be prepared if it does happen, my truck has been broken into a few times and have learned all these lessons the hard way.

I Finally got everything in the mail. I will hopefully be installing it Saturday.

They found my moms truck but no arrest have been made.

They stole the battery, air filter cover, cd deck/speakers, tools, and they took all the wiring out from under the dash. They tried burning it, but they rolled up the windows and closed the doors so it burnt the seat and done some smoke damage. They found it about 5 miles away from my house. I actually know where the guys who took it live. They just pushed it to the field next to their road haha. So we've been waiting on the Sgt of the police department to call us so we can tell him where they live but he hasn't called and everytime we call he's not there. The guys wrote something in Spanish on the front window. My brothers girlfriend said it was something about god & peace. I think we could repair it for under 500. It's a older truck but it was my moms grandpa's truck and he gave it to my mom before he passed.

I will try and upload some pictures tomorrow.
