Default Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The answer to your question is 12.86, but if you slow down just a little, you can break 13.

If you give us the gallons and the number of miles run on that many gallons, we'll do the math.

You are way off with the 12.86. If you do the math the actual number is closer to 12.89. Then you have to adjust for the adiabatic lapse rate and density altitude taking into consideration the tire pressure and position of the tailgate.

I was figuring it for a Suburban, so I did not allow for the tailgate issue.

Very Mythbuster-ish explanation. I love it!
