    Question Steering Gear help!!!!!

    People,

I am changing the steering gear in a 97 Savana. I am able to do everything except I can't figure out how to get the boot off of the intermediate shaft. The shaft that goes into the top of the steering gear.

Is it just pressed down onto the steering gear or is it actually attached somehow?

Any help will be much appreciated.

This van does have hydroboost if that makes any difference.
