Just clicked over 200K on the 99 suburban several weeks ago. I bought her 5 + years ago with 145,000. Transfer case (NP246 Auto-trac) is the only major component I've replaced. I have felt like it's starting to nickle and dime me, but when I look at suburbans with 3-5 fewer years and 50K fewer miles I can't find many that are in better shape than mine. My wife takes awesome care of the interior and exterior and I've taken care of 93% of the mechanical.

My 1993 Lincoln Town Car just flipped 250K and that car is a great machine. I put almost no money into that thing and it just keeps going. The leather interior has held up better than the suburban. The engine was replaced around 125K due to it being ran 100 miles without any coolant (I purchased it from my father in law who didn't want to stop when the water pump failed).

Your Lincoln sounds like a 1974 Pontiac Catalina that I ended up sending to the bone yard at around 275,000. Hardly ever had to do a thing to it. The body just fell apart. Years and years of gravel roads, upper midwest winters, etc. and it finally gave up the ghost. That 400 small block was a killer engine. I can only hope that my 2013 Silverado will get anywhere near that for me. Some of the mods I am doing should give it a fighting chance.
Hey there, VA, what do ya' say? How many vets did you kill today?

2009 Sierra -- almost 79,000 on the clock. Runs like brand new.

2000 Silverado -- 195,000 and counting. Runs like IT has 79,000 miles.

    Love my GM's.

2011 GMC Sierra 42200 miles while this was a slight improvement over the 2009 Silverado Warranty repairs on this truck right upper & lower balljoints / right rear leaf spring / Malfunctioning Cruise Control X 3 / Malfunctioning tow haul mode which is more than I have had t do on the last 4 trucks combined ! Still overall it is a good truck and will look at the 2014s if the price doesnt go crazy on them
