Default What aftermarket wiring harness for my stereo?

What aftermarket wiring harness for my stereo? I purchased one from the local auto parts store and spliced it into my Alpine harness and went to install it and nothing....I didn't get the one with the chime. I do not have Onstar. I am not spending money on the one with the chime(if I can help it). I have a basic 2006 GMC 4X4. I already have Infinity speakers throughout and a Soundstream amp. I'm all ready to get this going, but this Metra harness did not fit-well the plug fit, but the wires do not match up. I work on electronics for a living, so it was all nice and tidy. After it didn't work, I looked at the harnss and the wires don't even match up. I just took the harness the guy at the parts store handed me and I didn't check to make sure it was the right one-I threw the package away last night cleaning up my mess, so I don't know what the part number was for it. I've searched the forums and cannot find a part number that others have used. Thanks in advance.

it depends on if you have bose or not but if you have bose and you are trying to keep the chime and onstar etc. you need the met-gmos04 and if you dont have bose and want to keep the door chime you would need the met 702003 and i cannot remember the chime module model number, but if you are using the right harness it should be easy and all the leads should match up, i am willing to bet you didn't run the red accy wire to the ignition harness because 03 and up trucks dont have accy turn on at the radio its all data from the factory radio. You will need to run that red accy wire under the dash (remove knee board) and connect it to the orange wire in hte ignition loom to get the radio to turn on......lemme know if you need any help!
