So, i have a cheap CAI on my 04 Tahoe and i like the looks and for 150, you can't argue with the results. Problem is that the metal tube gets warm sitting on a radiator hose. is there anything wrong with using insulating wrap and covering the hose or is it designed to dissipate heat? thanks in advance

I am guessing your talking header wrap, it would be fine I would think, there some actual wraps that are designed to go around intake tubes too, spectra may have one

I wonder if you used the Braided Hose Dressing Cover on the Rad Tube, if it would be cooler?
I would look a lot nicer.
Ummm... so your CAI tube runs forward toward the front of the Truck?
Put a Racing Options CAI on my 94 Silverado and have it pointing over to the Passanger side inner fender. There is an opening there, so it can breathe cooler air.

my intake has a 90 degree bend and the runs to the passenger side as well, it just sits on a hose is all. it came with a piece to hold the hose, so it is expected. i think i will try the dress up kit, i was considering one anyway, thanks
