    Default New to site...

Hello everyone. I am new to the site, in the process of buying an 09 LT2 Z71 with luxury package burb. I just sold my other suv, a trailblazer SS with a custom built 427 and too many other mods to list. I was making about 480/490 at the wheels, I AM GOING TO MISS IT!! But, alas, it's time to grow up and have a family mobile and then get a toy that is just a toy...

Anyway, just feeling around to see if there is anything I need to know about the 09 burbs before taking delivery.

Welcome to the site!! That must have been really hard to let an SS like that go, I have only driven the new burbs a couple times, really enjoy the ride but just wish they offered the 6.2 in it, just because I would want the bigger V8 in the 1/2 ton. I think the current packages for the new burbs are very poor. 3.42 is the best rear axle you can get, you cant upgrade to the 6.0 in the 1/2 ton and keep the trailering package (BOO). But I really like the looks of the Z71 suburban! Not to mention $55k+ is a heavy trigger to pull

I still have the SS for a few days until the travel arrangements are made for it, it's going to the West Coast. They are finalizing all of the financing this afternoon (hopefully) so I can get my truck. It's all being done through the dealer so one has to go before the other one can come home!

Yeah it's hard, but I have had it for three years and it's going to the right demographic. 21yr old kid with no kids, good job in wine country, and a healthy understanding that things that go fast sometimes break!

I almost went GMC Denali to get the bigger engine, but after driving the Burb, I love the package.

I have read some issues with hesitation, vibration, stuff like that. Is that just squeaky wheel stuff or does it seem to be a rather sizeable issues with this platform? I let the new one age a while before I bought one, hoping all the little quirks would be worked out... Anyway, looking forward to bringing her home!
