    Question Suspension travel stops

I picked up a 2003 Silverado 2500 2wd. While replacing my shock I noticed that my front a-arms are sitting on the travel stop rubber blocks. I was thinking, "How is this thing supposed to absorb bumps if it's already sitting on the travel stops?" Is this normal or do I need to raise the front?

    Thanks.

I'm assuming the springs are ok with 100k miles on them. How far off the tire is the lower edge of the front fender supposed to be?

    Cool Suspension travel stops

Does the truck set level from side to side and is the front alot lower than the rear? It sounds like the front springs are worn out. Do you know the history of this truck? Work truck?

If it's sitting on the bump stops I wouldnt assume the springs are fine. Depending on how the truck was used previously I wouldnt be surprised if the springs have failed.

Ok, thanks guys. It was a work truck. I'll check with my dealer.
