GM would impress me more if they would offer a 5 or 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty!! With the first 50,000 miles bumper to bumper!

Not sure if you knew that since 2007 GM offers a 100,000 mile warranty with the entire thing covering the powertrain, roadside assistance and rental coverage? That's 5-years and 100,000 miles with 6-years and 100,000 miles for rust and corrosion. Not sure about the bumper-to-bumper part, but for a warranty that's pretty good.

Default GM to offer money-back guarantee

GM is hoping to jump-start its revival by guaranteeing car buyers that if they don't like their new Chevrolet, GMC, Buick or Cadillac, they have 60 days to bring it back for a full refund.

I think this is a bad idea for GM. There are people that will take advantage of this just to have a car to drive for sixty days. How does this all work with the banking end of the deal. You get a loan and then you take the vehicle back, then what? You would almost have to finance through the dealership so everything would be taken care of in house. Then again, GM mught have made a briliant move. Most people wont mess with the hassle of taking a car back. Don't know....we shall see. I will continue my support and help rebuild GM the best I can.

It's a marketing stunt. Bob Lutz just said that they expect less than 2% to come back to the dealer for a refund. However, they might get an extra 5% orders because of it. That's a 3% net gain.
