    Default Starter question

    How can i tell if i have a starter problem or solenoid problem? My 96 Tahoe does not start. It sounds like a whirling noise. Not a clicking sound. Thanks, Al

    Was this something that just came up suddenly, or over time?

    the starter housing was cracked and a chunk was missing, so I ended up replacing the whole thing. thanks for your answer. Big Al

    Well, that will do it. Fortunately it's a pretty easy and straightforward fix.
