wheel spacers? illegal? worth it?
and my truck only has shocks in the front, thats it.
is there anything i can do to beef up my suspension.
im looking into this tuff country 2" suspension lift,it comes with rear "add a leafs" 4 shocks and torsion keys to lift up the front end without the cranking of the torsion keys. costs just over 300$
any suggestions? and on a VERY tight budget.

Wheel spacers are legal.
Why do you feel you need wheel spacers?
Do you have a tire rub issue or suspension interference?
And most likely torsion bars, otherwise it would sit on the bump stops if there werent something to support the sprung weight.
On "a very tight budget" there really isnt any thing you can do to beef up the suspension.
Upgrades cost and good reliable parts are expensive.
The Tough Country line of lifts are good. Add a leafs will make the suspension a little harsh.

as far as i know spacers are legal. but the quality of how they stand up depends on what gauge they are. 20mil and 30mil are a good beefy size

i wasnt aware of that but i figured it had to do something bad, but illl take my chances.
i need to replace my shocks so im getting that kit to replace them and give me a better look.
i want to get 2-3 inch spacers if possible

If ya gotta do spacers 2-3" is a lot more than anyone should recommend. Your really asking for trouble with a spacer that wide. Most times when using spacers you dont want to go over 3/4".
Have ya thought about wheels with a different off-set?
A deeper off-set on the wheels doesnt seem to affect the suspension as much.

Like tbplus10 said, 3/4" is about max on a spacer. Typically 1/8" - 1/2" is used. Even a 1/2" is a lot. Not for looks but for additional abuse on the wheel bearing. Also if you want to go 3/4" spacer you'll need longer studs. The stock ones don't look they will take much of a spacer. You need several turns of the lug nut at minimum to hold the wheel on. You would be better off getting different wheels with more offset. I know you said you are on a budget. But some of these cheap ideas are also bad and/or dangerous.
