Default 06 silverado 4 wheel drive question

I just bought a 06 silverado 4x4 lt3 about a month ago, and was reading in my owners manual, and when I engage the truck in to 4 wheel drive high, there is no symbol on the cluster panel, but the manual says there sound be? is there supose to be an icon to indicate that the 4x4 is in. and also, when I puch the 4 high button, does the 4 high button suspose to light up brighter then the others, like how the 2 wheel high is.

    Thanks,
    James

sounds like you have the autotrac 4x4. i have a manual shift 4x4 and an icon does come on. But i believe with the push button, the light on the button indicating the 2 or 4wd should light up on the button.

Whatever you are pushing should light up right under your fingertip.

yea, just the little orange light that comes on, but the number 4 with the arrow for 4 high doesn't get brighter then the over buttons, like how the 2 wheel high is... i'll try to get a picture at night.. might help more lol

Is your push button on the upper left part of the dash above the light switches? My brothers just has a little orange light that comes on so it sounds normal for yours
