    Question 2000 with lift issues

I have 33x13.5x18 procomp xtreme's that rub on a stock 2000 silverado 2500 HD truck. What would be the best methods and heights to accomplish my goal. I off road alot on truck trail in northern NY. They are always full of bowling ball sized rocks. Occasionally the conditions are great for mud pits. There are also some small dunes around. The biggest thrill is that we average 22 feet of snow a year with a 6 month winter.

My truck was the year they mix n matched parts to get a more modern rugged design. This effected my frame, body mount points, and suspension components/design greatly. They didn't officially call it an HD until the folowing year. When I go to buy parts at any parts store they consider this truck an HD. Its extended cab with dual doors on each side, 4x4 with a 6.0 gas engine, 4L80E transmission, and 3.73 ring gear. When I look for a body or suspension lift kit I have difficulty because I'm limited in choices. The rep I talked to at EnergySuspension told me to get a complete kit I needed to buy both the 1500 and 2500 kits.

Has anyone here had these issues?? What company makes the best kits?? I dont want too much lift because this is my daily driver. I would not like to lose the angle the truck rides at, just raise it for more travel and clearance.

Sorry for no pics. I'll post them tomorrow.

I would just crank the torsian bars, if thats true about the parts you are gonna be spending a ton of money just for a few inches, or you are gonna end up with a truck that has 6 inches and its more then what you want. I would just ket the torsian keys and get the front end leveled out, see where that gets you and if you like it or not.

I've been searching for the torsion bar keys with no luck. Can someone link me. I'll just put larger blocks in the back and level the front.

    Thumbs up

Look at Rough Country Suspension just google it, I have a 99 1500 z71 and I just put on their full leveling kit. It came with keys up front blocks in back with new u-bolts and shocks all around for $189 + shipping. Took me 3 hours to put it on, and I absoluetly love it!! The truck looks totally different.
Oh and by the way it says it is a 1.5" leveling kit but I got 2.5" out of mine.

stock height with a little tightening of the torsion bars, 33x12.50r18's fit on my 2002 1500 no problem, just a minor rub at max turn. A leveling kit will fix the problem for sure. Good luck with your choice.
