I recently purchased a 1999 suburban 1500. When I tow a trailer do I tow the trailer in Overdrive or 3rd gear?
I always tow mine in overdrive and have never had a problem. Do you encounter a lot of hills?

Welcome to the site! I agree with towing in O/D. If you are in very "hilly" or mountains, you may want shift to "D". If the tranny is constantly downshifting, I'd downshift. Good luck!
