Not knowing what your truck is, it is hard to decide between 4" or 6". From what I've read about the BDS system you would be in good shape with either. If you get a chance, fill out the "Signature" section in the "User CP". That way everyone knows more about your truck.

Go with the six inch. When I was working at a truck customizing shop EVERY person who had us install a four inch lift wished they had gone with the six inch.

X2 on the 6 inch. I have the same year truck as yours with the BDS 6 inch lift. It is a high clearance lift which is nice!

I have a 2002 silverado with the 6.5" high clearance kit, my truck rides better then new, i have 10 ply tires on it, and this suspension gives me a much nicer ride. Plus 6" isn't as tall as you think.

im more then satisified with my 4 in rancho suspension. it has a great ride quality and handles well. im hoping to straight axle my truck one day though.
does the lift affect mpg,s very much? thanks, len

The higher you go, the more wind resistance is caused thus lowering you mpg. And of course if you add larger, heavier wheels/tires, this will negatively affect your mpg. And also if you will be using mud terrain tires you increase the rolling resistance, which again will negatively affect your mpg. I have 7 1/2 inches of lift, 20 inch rims and 35 inch mud terrain tires with 4.56 gears and I am averaging about 12 to 13 mpg.
