OK, I couldn't stand it anymore, and went and got 265's for the 245's on my new 2500HD. Now, the Suburban also has 16" wheels, and could use some tires..... How would an LT tire do on the Suburban? On the 2500 they were blown up to 60F80B.....that's waay too much for the Suburban. How much lower can I run them at without screwing up the wear pattern?

I've got LT265/75/16 on my K1500 running at 35 psi (as the door sticker says), and they do just fine.

I have 2500 Suburbans now and formerly had an '01 2500 Suburban. All of these came with LT 245R75 16 tires. Ireplaced them all with 265R75 16's. All of these were load range E's. I have always run 80 psi rear and 70 psi front. I regularly pull a 7400# Airsrteam travel trailer. These pressures have always worked well for me.

Nothing wrong with upgrading to LTs. Do some searching on tire pressure. I've written a couple lengthy posts on how to set it properly.
BTW, the pressures you are running on your 2500HD are way too high. Unless you are running over GVWR.
When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses not zebras.
I run LT265's on mine. 50psi any given day; 60/80 when towing.
They ride fine, and they're pretty quite, for a big 'ol truck.

Thanks all, you've answered my question.
That's what's on the door...... 60 front 80 rear, BUT I will only run that when towing the 8000 pound camper. Right now they're at 52 front 68 rear. (Any less and the TPMS will have a fit)BTW, the pressures you are running on your 2500HD are way too high. Unless you are running over GVWR.

Does the door sticker specify LT's? My dear departed 1996 K1500 did specify LT's and 45F50R if I remember right. I think they dropped LT's on the 1500's a couple years later and dropped the recommended pressure along with them. My buddy had a '99 and also ran 35. He was stunned that I was running 50 psi.

Hi, I am running the same 60/80 when towing like KidHauler. It works great. Then back to 50 psi.
