Thread: Tranny Life

    Default Tranny Life

I'm just curious if anyone wants to speak to the issue of transmission life. It seems to me that trannies are lasting a whole lot longer than they used to. Is that me, or am I dreaming?

Things are engineered better these days. Sometimes they goof and over-engineer, like the cadillac plastic intake manifold on the 302 they've got ... good idea on paper, bad in production!

I think that a good tranny on a full sized SUV should last at least 125k without major repairs. Just about the same as an engine.
