Welcome to the site, a good rule of thumb is, keep the truck in drive for under sustained 45mph, (overdrive will keep the tranny shifting or hunting from D to OD as the RPM will be low in OD), and when accelerating dont let the RPM go over 2000. You may feel like you are a granny but it will help alot.

Welcome to the site! All the above plus try using synthetic lubricants where you can. It will make more of a difference than you would think. Good luck!
