    Default courtesy light upgrade ?

Hey everybody, My question is sort of complicated so I hope I can explain it well enough to make sense. I just traded a 2003 suburban on a 2002 tahoe Z71. I love the Tahoe but miss one thing about the burb. At night when I unlocked the burb it would illuminate the driving lights and backup lamps to light an area around the outside of the truck. The Tahoe does not have this and I am wondering if it is possible to add it ?. Any ideas please reply. Thanks in advance.

not sure what you mean. I have no buttons on my steering wheel on the 02. I am thinking that it will be a relay or something that controls the alarm and locks.??

first, pop the cover (or look from the backside) to see if there is a light inside the cover on the running board. I know on the TrailBlazer those are just reflectors on the base model and there aren't even lights inside of them.

No problem. I said it was a difficult question. When I would hit unlock on the remote, like coming out of the store at night, the daytime running lights and the reverse lights would light up., this surrounded the truck in light for safety. I would like to see if I can do this to my 2002 Tahoe. I am sure it is a relay or something in the alarm wiring. i am just curious. Thanks anyway
