Default Do you use the 5 sec rule?

New college study shows that 5 second rule is too short. You can actually let food that has fallen on the floor stay there up to 30 seconds before it has attracted any bacteria.

I'm with both you guys on this I'm a country boy and I have eaten my fair share or sand that has god knows what in it. So if some food falls on the floor I'm still eating it.

I wanna say that the Mythbusters did this, and the end result that it almost didn't matter how long it was on the ground, just touching the ground caused stuff to transfer. On a side note, they also found out that the toilet seat is one of the cleanest places in the workplace. Well, at least the toilet seats that are in private bathrooms that the public can't abuse and defile. ;)

I tested this theory out tonite. I cooked a bunch of hamburgers for my daughter and her freind. Fired them out on the driveway, then put it on a bun. So far the girls seem alright...I'll let ya know if one of them kacks. I put just a dash of E-coli on them to speed it up....Oh hang on! One of them is down...No she's Ok. Just tripped. I'll let ya'll know.

I saw that episode. The bathroom didn't look clean and it was still the cleanest...or at least the toilet seat was!
