Anyone know anything about dry chargers?
are they worth getting? I live in iowa, and wonder if the investment of these filter covers will actually do anything additional to help filter, or if they are just a gimmick way to sell something else.
If you are not familiar-check this site:

As always-thanks for your time.

I use the drychargers on my motorcycle open element K&N filter, and they are mainly used for exposed filter elements(not in an enclosed air box). They do keep out most water and dust/dirt, thats what they are meant to do keep most of the crap out of your oiled element. But yes it is worth it, use it as a prefilter.

I would say that they are worth the money, because I had an open air K&N intake on my Silverado and it got nasty after about 4,000 miles to where I had to clean it again. If I still had the truck I would have bought one of those in a heartbeat, I believe it would help a lot.
