    Default Question

I have a 2008 Chevy 2500 Z-71 4x4. Its 4 door and still has the stock bridgestone Duravis LT265/70R17 tires on it. I want to put BFG AT's or Mickey Thompson ATZ 305/65R17. I also want to tighten the tortion bars to level the truck out. If i do that will the tires fit and not rub?

That's a good question. Are you putting these new tires on the stock wheels, or new wheels? I think if you are going to stay with the stock wheels, you could have one of the new tires put on to see if it will rub. I worked at a tire store along time ago, and we would put a tire on a wheel to see if it would rub for the customer. Hope this helps you.

I am going to put them on the stock wheels and the problem is that i have to pay in full for the tires before they order them. No one else near me has them in stock either so i cant have one put on to see if it will be ok or not. The size of the tire i have on now is 31.7 inches and i think 9 inches wide. The one i want to put on is 32.7 inches tall and 11-12 inches wide depending on the width of the wheel. But i guess my question is still if i tighten the tortion bars up where my truck is level which will be about1.5 to 2 inches higher will that be enough to clear the tires?
